Since its foundation, the La Baule Yacht Club organizes the sailing derby, and in 2000 the first International Dragonboat Derby was held in the bay of La Baule.
This event has grown steadily, becoming an essential stage in the International Dragonboat circuit. Modern and old dragonboat versions will be present, and the world's best dragonboat crews regularly participate in this competiton, which is highly appreciated especially by the British.
Several major nations will be represented, with 50 magnificent dragonboats racing for 4 days and return to port admired by the public. The competition is one of the main events for the La Baule Yacht Club who participate with the first French dragonboat fleet.
This year, Oazure is official partner of Dragonboat Derby and will be present at the Yacht Club throughout the weekend.
