Another distinction for Mauritius : the destination has, in fact, been ranked once again among the " 10 Best Ethical Destinations " in the world.
"Ethical Traveler" is an NGO created to assist nations to change for the better in their environmental practices and human development through tourism.
Each year the NGO "Ethical Traveler" examines policies and practices in hundreds of developing countries to establish the top ten most ethical tourism destinations. Encouraging tourism to these countries , the organization hopes to promote a sustainable development model .
The organization distinguishes countries that develop a sustainable tourism industry within the local community, with respect for human rights , the environment and an ethical society.
This is the third consecutive year that the destination Mauritius obtains this prestigious ranking.
