The contemporary rustic chic architecture and Mauritian design of the hotel take inspiration from the traditional homes, the old seaside bungalows. Thatched or tin roofs, waxed cement floors, raw walls, and materials reflecting life on a tropical island such as sand, pebbles, drift wood, rattan, and raffia create the particular, very Mauritian atmosphere of the hotel, which is even more emphasized by the hotel's hommage to Mauritian writers, painters, craftsmen and architects.

Located in Kalodyne, on the north coast of the island close to the fishing village of Grand Gaube, the 214 rooms of the hotel have been designed to cater for everyone, joining rustic charm to contemporary design. Family rooms as well as more secluded rooms for couples are available, each room category offering its own identity and personality.

Zilwa Attitude with its 5 restaurants offers a blend of spicy and exquisite tastes from all over the world…we call it here in Mauritius “Metisaz”: a delicious mix of Creole, Indian, Asian and European cuisines, true to the cultural diversity of the island. Guests will embark on a culinary trip, the port of calls, with their Creole names, being: “Karay”, “Saté & Siaw”, “Lor Disab” ou “Taba-J”. A trip which will surprise you more than once…
The “Dine Around” experience will allow guests to dine in 3 (or 4*) of these restaurants and taste a different cuisine every day.
